This update covers the recent network outages.

During the last two weeks, 20/20 Communications all of a sudden began experiencing network outages. No two outages were caused by the same situation. Two outages not only took out Wireless Washtenaw customers but our entire ISP services we provide. This includes T1, Wireless Sylvan and Scio, DSL and Dial-up.

We also had failures that affected both Saline and Manchester Wireless Washtenaw. Then there were a separate sequential series of problems that kept Manchester down for two full days.

Of course this had to happen the very day I began calling Pilot Participants to ask them if they want to continue with a paid service now that the pilot was officially over.

Participants who signed up and were charged for a paid service as these outages occurred will be reimbursed for the days service was unavailable.

I’m not thrilled about writing this type of update. However, we at 20/20 Communications don’t want potential and current participants to think we believe this is acceptable service. We certainly do not.
