New Locations
20/20 Communications representatives have been working to secure assets for placement of transmission radios. We are very close to inking deals in the Pleasant Lake area as well as in Saline Township. Both of these areas are underserved by Broadband internet companies.
Once the contracts with the property owners are signed, building the transmission location should take about a week. Testing will take another week and then home installations will begin.
Signing Up
There will be multiple methods for residents to sign up for Wireless Washtenaw;
- Through our new Wireless Washtenaw website (currently under construction)
- By selecting the 2020WWRoam SSID and following instructions on the login page (Also under construction)
- Calling our 20/20 Communications office at 973-2020
- Stopping in at any of our three Washtenaw County locations.
- 3069 Carpenter Road, Ypsilanti
- 106 North 4th Ave, Ann Arbor
- 5245 Jackson Rd, Ann Arbor
A 20/20 Communications rep will contact those residents who have registered with us during the past few months.
Pilot Participants
A 20/20 rep will contact current Pilot Participants about the upcoming billing test. At that time we will be asking Pilot Participants to decide if they want to become paying customers for the 500k service, continue with the free 84k service or cancelling the service.
Pricing
During this phase we are offering two services: Free 84k and $35/month 500k. More services will become available as the project expands.
Residents wishing to receive the signal in their homes will require a CPE and Installation at an additional charge. We will also have switches and wireless routers available at cost for those customers who want to connect more than one computer to the service.
20/20 Communications was selected by Washtenaw County to provide county wide Wireless Internet access.
There are four (4) phases to Wireless Washtenaw:
- Pilot
- Pre-deployment
- Deployment
- Customer acquisition and retention.
The phases will begin to overlap as portions of them are completed throughout the county.
If you have questions or would like to register for the service when it's in your area, visit our Wireless Washtenaw website www.2020comm.com |
